Obsession with tests always forces you to look for new ways and approaches for testing. Quite often it is very helpful to get inspiration from other projects.

Having that in mind, I decided to start a short series of posts called “System Under Test”. Each article will cover testing techniques used in particular open-source project. The goal of these articles is to answer the question “How is X tested?”.

Tests

FreeBSD has one test suite. It contains ~3.6k tests and takes ~7.5 minutes to run on a virtual machine with 2Gb of RAM.
